Why are conservatives turning back to McCarthy era scare tactics?
The McCarthy era should be a smear on the conservatives record, it is seen in the history books as a bad time for American history.The definition of McCarthyism is the politically motivated practice of making accusations of disloyalty or treason without proper regard for evidence.It seems like conservatives today are calling ANYONE who does not have their exact beliefs socialist,communist,fascist nazi’s, I don’t understand such excessive name calling and branding without real reason except for the fact that they don’t have the same beliefs.Everyone at the Communist Party USA scoffs at the idea that Obama is a communist because HE IS NOT….Give me some logic, and i wanna hear something different then what Glenn Beck say’s.
It worked very well for many years for McCarthy until he got tripped up. It’ll probably work well for the republicans until they get tripped up. Fear and hate is a very good tactic.

Scare tactics similar to the ones like if we don’t pass health care right now millions will die even though it won’t go into effect for another 4 years.
Cap and trade is a must before we all burn up due to global warming.
I think you should take a long look into the mirror and see why your scare tactics are more noble than those you disagree with.

in-fact were later shown to be such
(alger Hiss in particular, in the mid 70’s i met him, he still denied it, but when soviet union went belly up and KGB files were open it was shown that he was a soviet agent while working for roosevelt on the formation of the UN)
